Definitely Geoff Hufton. A committed bowler and gentleman who was also Pc 999 during his police service.

Geoff was a thorough gentleman who played for Mansfield Colliery and Notts Constabulary , he also took on and beat the great David Bryant, he was a wondeful bowler as was his wife Madeleine who played for Mansfield Borough Ladies.

The photo is of my dad.
He was a top bowler in the area and played for Mansfield Colliery, Notts Constabulary and for Notts County team for many years.
He won many open tournaments including Bournmouth and Skegness, I believe the cup he is holding to be the Notts Evening Post Champion of Champions cup but he did win many others so I am not 100% on that

Hi looking at this photo I believe it is of Geoff Hufton who lived on Little Barn Court, Mansfield. I think the cup would have been for bowling. Don’t know which club he played for though.
