Salvation Army Mansfield

Visit of Eric Ball, Composer, Adjudicator and Conductor, and who has been described by a noted figure in the banding world as The Mozart of the Brass Band Movement, to the Salvation Army at Mansfield, circa 1959/60.

  • Remember my Father Sam Riggs stayed with Mr and Mrs Storey probably 1963,vaguely remember Mr Storey’s funeral Sam Riggs transferred from Kirkcaldy Sinclairton corps worked at Plessey pit we stayed in Ruth st before it was demolished. JOHN RIGGS.

  • I was only 8 yrs old but can remember the visit of Eric Ball.I am the niece of Harry Addison (deceased) and Major Les Cook who now lives in Carlisle.
