JT Rice was friends of my mother’s great uncle and aunt at Creswell. His daughter Nellie, long standing friend of my mother’s, I also knew her.
John took up Rexco from Bolsover Colliery
My uncle was on the staff at Crownie up till his retirement, his name is Athol Clarke. Be interesting too hear from anyone who remembers him also I know he would love too here from any old workmates. Also I myself did my underground training at Crownie before moving on to Welbeck in 1985.
