I'd almost completely forgot about the BP petrol station on Newgate Lane near to where the Chad office car park is now.

Does anyone remember Miss Robinson , who taught at the school ??

She was my aunt , with my grandparents I spent many weekends and Christmas holidays between 1954 and 1969 .

My grandfather worked at `John Robinson - tailors ` for many years with his brother . Cheers, Martin Robinson

I remember Miss Robinson. I was at Newgate School from 1962 and she was my first teacher in the junior part of the school. She was a most lovely lady and I was sorry when I had to move up to the next class. She seemed very old to me at the time!
