As the closure of Harlow Wood reached its climax there were many thank you’s, leaving gifts and memories.

An exhibition to commemorate the life of the hospital was put together by a former Occupational Therapy Helper Pauline Marples. Pauline was assisted in this by her husband Malcolm and friend Shirley Blythe a medical secretary at Harlow Wood.

One of the last reunions was held on Saturday 25th March for nurses and other staff – one former nurse came all the way from Australia to be there. It was a happy occasion tinged with sadness’ because of the hospital closure.
