This beautifully illustrated Bible was given to me  because of its connections to Forest Town.

The page stuck on the inside cover reaveals it was given to Nellie Jarvis who attended the Wesleyan Sunday School at Forest Town in 1908.

So far attempts to discover more about Nellie Jarvis have failed, she does not appear to have attended Forest Town School. Does anyone have more information about her?

In 1908 when the Bible was given to Nellie it is unknown where the Forest Town Weslyans met.

From June 1909 they held their services in the newly built Drill Hall.

They later started a building fund for a new chapel, a wood and iron building that was opened in May 1913.
