Does anyone have any old Parish magazines from the mid 60s-early 70s? We lived on St Edmunds Avenue. My mum, Mary Musgrove, used to write the Ratman and Bobbin stories for the children’s page and my dad Vic illustrated them. How I would love to be able to read them to my grandchildren now!

Personally I love this time of year, new life in our hedgerows, fields,and paradoxically, our churchyards.A long and somewhat tenuous winter has given way once more to bud and bloom.No matter where you view it, it is always a welcome and pleasant sight to see,and a reminder that for those who care to look around and take notice, that England is a very beautiful place for so many reasons people often fail to take account of and fully appreciate.

Pauline! we noticed the flowers on a lovely sunny morning about 4 weeks ago and took some photos, and I mentioned it on the Mansfield Living History site and Colleen the Parish Secretary took snaps of the path and posted them on the site. The Primroses and Primulas look fantastic, apparently the Church Ladies do the gardening!!
