Brick Kiln Lane and 1947 Snows
Further to the posting on Brick Kiln Lane Thunderbox toilets we post here a photo of the Padley family at Hill Top Farm approx. 1931. From left to right: Marjorie Turner from The Fox and Crown Skegby where Florrie had been Nanny from age 13, Florrie ( Florence) Padley nee Hodgkinson,Jack ( John) Padley, Floss( Florence) Padley, Cilla Padley, Maria Hodgkinson.
Also 2 photos at Hill Top in the 1947 January snows. The first is Floss, Florrie and Cilla with Hospital Cottage in the background and John Padley on the summit of a snow drift,
and the second John again on the drift with Bill Pitchford in the foreground.

Correction for the record: The Gent in Hill Top Farm photo is not John Padley as he was taking the photo! But rather it was Florrie and Maria’s dad John Scott Hodgkinson from Kimberley
